[QUESTION] I thought slot machines were illegal in Hawaii. How can you rent them without breaking the law?
[ANSWER] Slot machines are illegal in Hawaii. Our machines are actually pachislo skill stop machines. Although they look and act similar to Las Vegas style machines, the player must push buttons in order to stop the reels. This adds a measure of skill to playing the machine. In addition, our machines will only accept the tokens we provide. Pachislo machines are legal in Hawaii (and most other states).
[QUESTION] In Las Vegas children under 21 are not allowed to touch the machines. Can they play yours?
[ANSWER] Children are naturally attracted to our machines because of all the sounds and lights. Children are welcome to play the machine as long as we have permission from the parents. In some cases young children may be provided a wrist band that shows they have parental permission to play the machines.
[QUESTION] How many machines do I need to rent for my party?
[ANSWER] That depends on how many guest you expect. A small party would probably be fine with 2 to 4 machines where a party with a lot of guest might be better off with six or eight machines. There is a $300.00 minimum per event.
[QUESTION] How far in advance do I need to book my event?
[ANSWER] Our machines are rented on a first come first serve basis. Depending on the size of the event we can normally do two events on the same night. During holidays and graduation seasons our dates fill up fairly fast. You can check our available dates page to see if the date you need is available. In general, the earlier you book the better chance you have of getting the machines you want.
[QUESTION] How much room do you slot machines take up?
[ANSWER] Each machine needs about 3 feet in width and two feet in depth. Three machines fit nicely on an 8 foot table. This allows room for the player to put their basket of coins and a drink. If we use your tables or counters they must be capable of holding the weight of the machines (each one weighs about 80-100 pounds). We can provide the tables or we have some custom stands. We will ask all of those questions when you book your event.
[QUESTION] Are their any special power requirements?
[ANSWER] All of our machines have been converted to work on US power. We have run as many as eight machine on a single 20 amp circuit without problems. We can supply a generator to power the machines if required (may be additional cost).
[QUESTION] Can the machines be used outside?
[ANSWER] These machines are easily damaged by water so protection from the rain is required. A covered lanai, easy corner tent or some type of cover is required. We can provide an easy corner type tent if required.
[QUESTION] What type of payment do you accept?
[ANSWER] We will accept cash, credit card, debit, or personal check. If you are planning to pay by check please let us know at the time of your booking.
[QUESTION] What happens to my deposit if I have to cancel?
[ANSWER] We understand that things happen that just cant be avoided. Normally if you give us a week notice we will refund your deposit completely. If, on they day of your event there are storms or other unavoidable conditions we will refund your deposit. If our setup personnel show up at your event and find out it has been canceled and we were not notified, you will forfeit your deposit. Repeat customers may not be required to put a security deposit down when booking.
[QUESTION] When do I have to pay the balance of the payment?
[ANSWER] Typically we require payment upon the completion of our services although other arrangements can be made. If you will not be able to pay on the day of your event, let us know when booking. We will work with you as much as possible.
[QUESTION] What happens if I am not happy with your service?
[ANSWER] We are confident that you will be happy with our products and service. If you see something you are not happy with during your party let our attendant know and they will try to correct it on the spot. If for some reason you are not satisfied with the service you get from TT&C, let our sales representative or customer service representative know and we will make it right. This may involve a complete refund or free service for a future party. Bottom line: WE WANT YOU TO BE COMPLETELY, 100% SATISFIED WITH TT&C Slots!
